403 is an olds motor I believe. Around here 4-10,000.00. The upper range for a real decent driver car. The deal with 79's is Pontiac sold more TA's in that year then any other I was told. So there are a bunch available.

The 79-81 don't seem to do as well as the 77-78. Is it a SE by any chance. There seems to be a decent following for them. I don't watch too much but really nice ones 10-12K and the drop rapidly from there. Most nice drivers are going to be 5-6K tops.
Yes, need more info. Saying you found a nice 79 Trans Am that's loaded and asking for an estimate is like saying you found a "nice 70 442 loaded". Lots of variables.
Color? Options? Condition? Mileage?
From what I've seen they can range from $5K to $50K.
