You can usually find aftermarket trans coolers at swap meets for $15 or so. If you are set on something from a wrecking yard, look at full size pickups.

Did the B body cars have a optional trans cooler, maybe part of a tow package? If they were available, if you could find one, if you could buy it, and if you could buy all the plumbing odds and ends cheap enough, it might be economical. Way too many “ifs” in my opinion. A good aftermarket trans cooler is under 50 bucks, add another 50 for good quality hose and fittings.

I run the oil cooler that was in early 2000's ford explorers . real nice size. Oem. Quality and got it for 20 bucks at the wrecking yard. Washed it with compressed air and parts cleaning solution. You will have to make the ends work with whatever fittings you run. I run nylon braided hoses from the trans then connect them to the cooler with high psi clamps.
I made some L brackets and run 2 bolts upwards where the radiator top plate bolts and use 2 nuts on each end.
