Total Garbage On Craigslist - Add Your Treasures
I figure a good portion of us are browsing Craigslist for parts or cars. Some stuff on there is absolute trash and deserves to be shared for some laughs and comments. I'll post the first beauty below and everyone go ahead after me and show the finest items you can come up with.

This joke has been for sale locally for a year or two. Some people really think they have something.

I agree totally that there's a lot of garbage on Craigslist, but you can also add EBay. Someone has a tail light reflector for a '58 Edsel(Looks to be about 15" long and shaped like a boomerang , and it says (fits 1955 Olds) ! Larry

Another car, now called simply the Hurst/Olds, appeared in 1979
That's what I thought. I emailed the guy and questioned the engine, as well as the year of the car, and he assured me he knows what he has, and he told me to Google it! I don't know if he is being purposely deceitful, or honestly doesn't know what he has? Oh well, buyer beware!

Direct him to the HOCA website.

That's the truth. Whenever some car owner at a cruise or show starts pegging the BS meter, I just nod politely and smile.
I've had my share of obstinate sellers. Saw an expensive "W-30" at Carlisle years ago with the uber-rare "F heads" that have E-head casting numbers. I wasted at least ten minutes of my life arguing with the seller. About 20 years ago I was looking at a 69 442 at Pomona. The seller swore up and down that the 455 in the car was factory installed. I politely pointed out the VIN derivative on the block that started out 30X... (and the last six were also totally different). He had never heard of the Fairfax, KS assembly plant or the fact that Fairfax only built full size cars. He swore the "X" was "experimental".

If you are talking about the black 78 that I posted, I got that photo from the HOCA website. It is allegedly the 78 prototype (or a replica of it). The white car above is just a 78 Cutlass with a H/O paint job and emblems. It's not even a fake, since those cars didn't exist.
A new car brand
