today is the "someday" i have talked about for 11 years

i am such an idiot. when i was done restoring my Rallye 350 the horn did not work. i was to excited about the car being done (well mostly done) that i said i would fix the horn later. well, for no more often that i drive it i am always having someone honking at me and i want to honk back. or i just want to use the horn to get a friends attention. i always have to pipe them because the horn did not work. i would just say someday i need to fix that. well today is the someday and i got it fixed. all it was is that i put the pin on upside down under the steering wheel that goes on top of the spring. the part that makes contact with the horn button. an incredible easy fix and i just never done it for 11 years. it is little things like this that has made me not enjoy this car as well as i would like. i am getting many things fixed and is becoming more enjoyable. i am now looking forward to getting my carb back from Sparky's. boy was i young when i did this car, not to mention it was my first restore job. i want to do another one someday so i can do everything right the first time.

No one ever does the right thing first, you would have to be perfect yourself to do that. Have a ball doing everything four or five time till it is almost right. Andy

The little things do add up but keep at it.
Everything I accomplish on my '69 adds up to more enjoyment.Hopefully I have it finished before 11 yrs pass.

I would say no to that question. There just comes a time when you pass it on to the next guy. We are just caretakers of these fine cars.
