Title question

Hi All,
I'm in SC and my title states the odometer is blank and the vehicle brand(s) is empty.
On my other car titles state the odo is the actual number of miles at purchase and the vehicle brand(s) has the real mileage.
What does that mean?

I think the engine has been replaced and so the mileage may not be accurate.
It is not a salvage title and it has been checked closely so it does not seem to have been damaged in any major way.
Thanks,
BQ

Well, I'm not sure how replacing the engine has anything to do with the odometer reading.

As for mileage not being accurate, well, ok. The mileage listing on state titles is notoriously inaccurate. Are you concerned about something in particular? As for the vehicle brand being blank, that's pretty much irrelevant since the VIN will unambiguously define the manufacturer and the model.

In some states the mileage on cars older than a certain year is a don't care to them.
Not sure why the make field would be empty tho

No, I was just looking at it and wondering if it was something I needed to look into for resale one day. Not selling anytime soon. Having too much fun!
The odo has 46k miles on it.
Thanks.

some jurisdictions will leave the mileage blank and some will use the TMU (true mileage unknown) agree with dynamic 88, check with DMV good luck
