Tire Advice
I'm looking to replace the wheels on my 67 442 from the current Hurst rims and Firestone bias ply redlines to wire wheels, stamped steel rims (14"), and radials.
I actually don't mind the bias ply tires -- they drive nice with good handling and road feel but I'd prefer something a little taller (fill wheel well) and if there are red-line radials available, that would work. Are there somewhat taller, red line radials available? Appreciate the help. If anyone is interested in a very nice set of Hurst rims (they're repop but very nice quality), let me know. I can properly pack, palletize and ship via Fastenal, etc.
Thanks!

The tallest 14" tire that is readily available is the 225/70-14. As noted, BFG sells these at a reasonable price and they are a good match to the A-body cars. You can get a version with redlines. If you want to spend serious money, you can get bias ply repros or "bias-look" radials from the specialty vendors like Coker or Universal.
Personally, you are crazy to get rid of the Hurst wheels...
If you are changing to steel wheels, why not just go 15"?
