When I get in my car, and set the tilt, if I somewhat litely pull down on it, it will click into the next ratchet tooth (guessing )
It is not the g.m. loose tilt that the 4 bolts are backing out..
It's like the tilt lever paul isn't fully seating, when the lever goes back.. or the parts are worn.. any ideas..
And how deep into the column do you have to go to have a look..?


It's a 1975 cutlass.. if that matters..
