tick tock tach

Cool tick tock tach

Hi everyone,

My clock works but not the tach. Can anyone help with troubleshooting procedure?

First question, has the tach ever worked? If so, check the feed wire connection at the coil. If all ok, the circuit board is probably bad..

There is a complete troubleshooting guide for the Tic Toc Tach in the Chassis Service Manual. Electrical section: 15-6 and service procedure starting on Page 15-24

Your'e probably one of a few that has a working clock, but not the tachometer! Mine is the other way (stuck on 4:42 though)!

Yea, I get the impression that anyone who could sell clock mechanisms for vintage cars would do well! Vettes are notorious.

The brown wire for the tach should have a 'small / short' two amp inline fuse, under the dash, close to the tach body...
