throttle cable linkage

throttle cable linkage
does anyone know what type of throttle cable linkage/ bracket i can use?
I have a 1969 delta 88 with a 455 with a edelbrock performer intake.
and on top a edelbrock 750 carb.
The throttle cable linkage of my original 350 wil not fit the edelbrock intake.
i did make a bracket my selve so i could mount the throttle cable.
But are there more better solutions? original or aftermarket brackets/ throttle linkage to mount the throttle cable to the carb?
I saw more than enough from ford or chevy, but would they fit my olds throttle cable.
the forced downshift works on engine vacuum i believe.

Here's a couple aftermarket solutions. Years ago I used the Mr. Gasket one and feel it did the job OK. The billet aluminum one may look a little nicer. John

Did you contact Edelbrock, as they're usually pretty good about this. Since you're outside the US, the bracket you fabbed yourself may be one of the better options. My car is now a BB 455 w/Edelbrock Performer intake and Q-Jet, moving from a stock SB 403 Q-Jet, and don't recall having to do anything bracket wise. Years ago, transplated a stock Pontiac SB 2bbl carb/intake to a stock Q-Jet/intake, and did need to lengthen the throttle bracket a bit. I have welding equipment, and did it myself.

Hey,
Not 'exactly' the same but i went through this with my Olds 350 and my performer intake and 1405 Edelbrock carb.
I ended up cobbling together a mix of a chevy bracket from a truck (circa mid 80's?) and a couple washers to hold it down really well. I can probably grab some pictures but my car is Covered in a mound of snow right now..
Honestly, i dont like how the throttle cable is a bit clocked towards one side, but it seems to do the job just fine. Perhaps use what John is talking about.

I've never used the billet one but it looks to me like the two long slots are where you'd bolt it to the side of the carb. If I'm seeing that right, it should be adjustable to various carb applications. But to be sure as DeltaPace77 said, a call to Edelbrock might clarify that. The chrome plated metal piece from Summit has an adjustable tab for the throttle cable and bolt holes for both the square bore and spread bore patterns. John
