Think this is a scam

I am put my Harley Davidson on craigs list a fwe weeks ago. I got this email that seems a little strange.
Hi there, Thank you for getting back to me.Can you assure me that is
in good state and that i will not be disappointed with it?I'm ready to
pay your asking

price and to be honest, i want to buy this for my Dad as his birthday gift.
I a marine biologist that works on the sea at the moment. phone calls
making and visiting of
website are restricted but i squeezed out time to check this advert
and send you an email regarding it so my only quickest payment option
is PayPal as i can send money via PayPal anytime.Since
I'm requesting this transaction to be done via PayPal, i will be
responsible for all the pay pal fee/charges on this transaction and if
you don't have an account

with paypal, its pretty easy, safe and secured to open one. Just log on
to www.paypal.com. I hope we can make
the purchase as fast as possible? I have a mover that will come for it
once payment clears . i will like to see more pics i look forward to
hear back from you

soon.

details that i needed are below

Your PayPal e-Mail Address :
Full name:
Firm Price:
I have used paypal for ebay, but not other things. I have never had a problem with that. However, I have never sold anything on Craigslist that the person wasn't local and came to look at what I was selling. I am a little leary of it, I have heard some really bad stories with craigslist. I have not heard of any scamms using paypal, but nothing is impossoble.
just looking for other opinions.
Thanks

I make all my Craig List items, cash, and pickup only. That is the reason to use Craigs List, local sales only. I would not respond to it. If you are willing to ship, and use Pay Pal, I would put it on Ebay.

This is a common scam. They say they will pay and then there is a problem like - check no good (bounced), etc. Then their mover comes to get said product in the middle of transaction problem.

Some people trustingly surrender items etc.

Just delete the entry. Believe me you will get more.

Somehow I don't think that a Marine Biologist would have such poor grammar. I call BS on this one.

I would like to make a suggestion; Do not answer the email! This sub-human will get your email address and sometimes that is all that is needed to find out who you are and where you live. Paypal email address? Full Name? Really?? Hell might just as well ask for your bank account number, ATM PIN, SSN, and your home address.

One more thing, I would suggest that for these transactions you use an email address you can afford to loose. I have one for Craigslist and if I get too much junk on it, I delete the account, and make a new one. Never give out your ISP email address (@earthlink, @comcast, etc.) Use Yahoo, Gmail, anything else.

Tell him to bring cash when he picks it up!
Actually ignoring it is best. Surely sounds scammy.

Especially for CL, don't deal with people that can't bring you cash. The only time I accept non-cash payments if its a direct wire transfer. And of course, NEVER GIVE ANYTHING WITHOUT GETTING THE CASH FIRST!

Ignore it.
