Angry Th400 Clark Bros. Ratio adapter noty reading

p# AA08241 PATC performance has it listed as a slow down ratio of 17.xx % Clark brothers has it listed as a ratio of 0.8241.
Think I'm missing something simple when I went to install it I get no reading at all out of the speedometer when I drive around, remove it and it works fine w/o adapter on (but still off)
I tried a drill straight to the speedometer cable it it shoots up to 90 mph going CCW.
If i install the ratio adapter and spin it I get nothing... I can visually see the adapter spinning when attached to the drill by itself but as soon as I place it between the trans and cable nothing.... What gives??? If I attach the adapter to the speedometer cable and the drill nothing on the speedometer???? What the hell?
According to a GPS 60 mph reads as 75 mph on the dash speedometer. I'm pretty sure I ordered the right ratio, What the hell am I missing. Or what would be the correct color gears I need in order for it to read right or close without the adapter at this point..? adding miles to the odometer that i'm not really doing is pissing me off at this point, my birthday is tomorrow and my present isn't working.

Sounds to me like you got a bad reducing adapter, can you return it for a replacement?

Are you sure that it's making contact with the drive gear?

OK, I took a look at it on their site. My guess would be that it's not being driven by the driven gear for some reason.

Yeah I even tried to shim it. Rotated the case180 then tried shiming the cable side no dice. The adapter would bind sometimes spinning by hand but not with the drill. The ratio looks to be correct for one turn by hand. My 20v drill will spike to aurond 100mph then steady out around 80-90. I was getting nothing with the adapter on the drill took it off. Speedo was working but then got stuck and wouldn't come down. I took it off spun it by hand and it went right back to zero. Put the adapter on tried it again maybe read 2 mph. After 4 more tries and getting pissed off I put the cable back in without the adapter and it sweeps fine again but still off like it usually was.

What is your rear end ratio and tire size?
