In take question
I was wondering what would cause the paint to peel and cause it to turn gold in paint.if you look at the pic left of the white spring.I also sanded it and resprayed it same thing happen

That's the exhaust crossover and it gets hot. Learn to live with the discolored paint or plug the crossover and lose the carb heat function.
