"the ws7 package car came with drum rear brakes they only made a handful."

A '79 T/A with rear drums. How rare!

"I also have the Ws 6 wheels that will go with the car if the reserve is met... happy bidding"

It's Craigslist ad.

Guy is an idiot.

The 403X was a Canadian import only. The cold winters made SWM a requirement. As a matter of fact I have one too.

Solid web main, although I think it is actually SMW.

No windows in the main crank supports.

"a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am this is an extremely rare Pontiac Firebird this car came off 2 assembly line Norwich and Lancaster. it is a Oldsmobile 403 X block. in Translation I was told it is a solid main web motor. if so it is the Holy Grail of trans ams. car has a quick ratio steering box Atlantis blue with t-tops car needs total restoration. frame rails K frame are perfectI have everything to the car with the exception of the cylinder heads and the original seats I believe everything else is believed to be matching numbers I was also told this maybe A WS 7 package car the ws7 package car came with drum rear brakes they only made a handful. the data I have on the car is all I know. I am not a big Pontiac fan hand I restore older muscle cars. so further investigation is on the buyer ! you can Google 403 x block it will come up solid main web the information will let you know how extremely rare this vehicle is. I have no idea how to tell other than the X on the side of the engine block so again this is on the buyer I also have the Ws 6 wheels that will go with the car if the reserve is met I also do have the information of previous owners they may have the heads to the car I have no idea never contacted them will provide you with that information cars sold happy bidding an extremely rare piece of AmericanaI am miles away from the vehicleso the pictures that are posted or all I can give you are welcome to come and view the vehicle in person please call "

"if" being the operative word.

For more on SMW403, just search that term here and wherever.

See also, unicorn, bigfoot, and "Elvis/alien love child."

Oh, that's not fair- there IS a photo.... of bigfoot.

The reward at $1M is contingent on sale of the SMW block, so, let's not jump the gun. Also, it is paid $10/yr for 100,000 years, I may have omitted that part.

I wonder if he could be any more evasive on the numbers matching issue? lol

The one thing he seems to be correct about throughout his ad is the need for the buyer to be informed!

There was a time when you had bumped it up to $2M...

I guess the recession really hurt.

Anybody notice someone went to trouble of opening the trunk for a pic but didn't show the floor of the trunk only the under side of the lid. Wonder why?
Not a bad car though .Depending on condition. Only down side would be emissions. And this would be 403 Olds?

I'm not aware of any other 403.

This is true but it's where rare & desirable diverge. WS7 was the WS6 package less the rear discs. Rarer but certainly not as desirable as a WS6 car.
