SWA 2011 Car Show-Dallas

This show is always a blast, free beer + hot dogs, along with a great band.

At least a few Oldsmobiles will be there, I hope some of the local CO members can make it.

I'd love to, but I'm one weekend away from getting it back on the road!

HAte to pass up free beer, but I will not make it, as Lady is still in a pile of pieces.
Why Thursday, too - difficult on the weekdays.
Hope next year will be better - more driving and showing and less restoring (on Lady anyway...)

Bring that 86! Every time I now see one of those G bodies, It always catches my attention.

I'm bringing the Hurst - like yours, the 72 is in bits. Wont even make the zone show this year.

Being on a Thursday is the kicker - I have been taking too many days off for resto work. The 86 is pretty much buried around Lady's parts so too much work just to get her out, and she would need a wash and detail - no time for that, either.
I might be able to go there by train right after work just to see the cars and meet with some CO members if any will be there.

I will be SOOOO glad to have Lady done and she should be at the zone show if all goes well. This project has wore me to the bone....

Hope to meet you - I believe several NTOC members will be there - John Bock, John Liconte and I'm working on getting Chris Dreiling's '65 Starfire there as well.

Beautiful weather for the show...a few pics, the 1956 AC belongs to a friend-he bought it in 1974, original everything, including paint.

Wow - lots of Olds were there - nice pics! I thought the drizzle would have made for a low turnout.
As much as I wanted to drop by, I had to swing by my buddy's shop after work and pick up my freshly painted valve covers. Great to have them back finally!

Thanks for posting the pics Lance - I had a lot of fun (and a lot of Shiner Bock).

Appreciate the 4 speed advice. Got me fired up to finish mine, and now I'm leaning back to going with a black shifter ball.
