Can someone tell me what year and model this emblem belongs to? Appreciate it. Thanks/Lee

I don't know the year, but I bet it goes on a Super 88 model.

I believe its for 1959. Passenger side front fender just behind the wheel well.

Its not a 58, those emblems have the letters/numbers straight up and down, not slanted like the 59. Also, 58 is located near the top of fender right behind the headlights.

I think your right about the '59. I think it goes on the passenger side front fender. I looked on the Internet and found one that looks pretty much the same.

Well yes sort of but raises a question. On the lower picture(convertible) the script is gong the right way on the passenger side. But in the upper picture(sedan( the script is leaning the apposite direction. Do you have any explanation for that??

What’s the question? One is for drivers side, one is for the passenger side

Well the question is why I guess? If you look at the two pictures you will see that the did not simply use the same emblem on both sides. There is a right and a left. One on the passenger side has the 88 forward, the drivers side has the 88 rearward. I would have thought if they were going to make a right and a left that they would have appeared the same of both sides with the Super being forward on both sides. But all depends on how you look at it (a pun?) I guess. Two ways to consider doing something. Neither is incorrect I guess.
Thanks for your comments/Lee

Most people in this country read from left to right.

Left side: Super 88
Right side: 88 repuS

I'm not sure what you are saying. the pic's are of the left and right sides and they both are leaning forward.
