Success!

I finally got it removed. It only took a $15 Harbor Freight run, about an hour and a busted knuckle. I thought I was going to have to sell my 71 without a functional dipstick.

Good job, I'm surprised you could get it out with those needle nose pliers, you're not selling your 98 are you??

Greg, I am going to sell my 71 98. I hope to have it running next weekend so I can drive it to the local Coffee & Cars with a for sale sign on it in December.

I had to use those needle nose pliers because the headers were in the way. Quiet a PITA.
