Is there an area here that has info/chat re: Quad4's ?
I know there are forums devoted to them I just like it here.

Thinking about a Quad4 powered Volvo. I'm not sure how much I can take
driving my wifes 66 Amazon with the (less than) 100HP B20 4speed and 4.56 gears. Imagine taking an old John Deere on the freeway and you get an idea. "Look out its gonna Blow!"

The problem with a Quad4 is as great as they seem, they also won't be cheap. getting one would be easy and maybe cheap but $500.00 for a RWD adapter. If that was my only big expense it might be a plan.
On the fence as a 3.8 (Camaro/Firebird) donor would fit and be way cheaper but not nearly as cool.

Speaking of cool, how much fun would it be to race my Cutlass against my wifes Olds powered Volvo. BOP race allow Olds powered non Olds?

O.K. I'm rambling.......
Quad4 owners chime in!

 

Small blocks or other Oldsmobiles. I think small block would be better seeing as how you want to install the engine in a none Olds car

That should be an interesting project. Go with the Quad 4.

My wifes other Volvo is my current project.(5.0 Ford swap)
Thinking I need the gas mileage a 4cylinder can get as my current DD is an 08 Silverado 4.3 which gets about 18-19 mpg real good for a truck.
But not great by a long shot.
