That is such a cool blast of history. The car ads were great. I also loved the comics, dress shoes for $8.90, a set of winter tires 2 for $22.00, the GI return to civilian life benefits story, Wow that was a neat bit of reading. Took a second to figure out how to move the reader panel from side to side. After that it was great. I'd love to go back in time knowing what I know now, and with the money and credit I have too

Hard to believe we thought that was alot of money back then.
At least I know I looked hard at $2900 before buying anything. It took a long time to save that kind of money.

Back then I was a journeyman electrican. I made just over three bucks and hour 3k was a lot of money. Still is just buys a lot less

Wouldn't we all...wouldn't we all.....That's the universal wish!

I'm a bit young to actually remember this time (I was in early elementary school in late 60's), but find this stuff fascinating....
