Still wont start

Still wont start

1983 delta 88 with the 307 4bl
alright my old starter failed, so i bought a new one and installed it. its aligned correctly and shimmed. its turning the flywheel and its engaging but its like its not turning over. its cranking but not starting. its getting enough fuel. idk what to do as it is my only car and i need to be able to get to work in the morning...

Did you flood it when trying to start it with the old starter?

no. its not flooded. i even double checked my choke and its fine. its getting fuel. its not flooded. just cranking and cranking but wont start

Try cranking it and holding the gas pedal to the floor until it starts. It may be flooded.

Or, remove the plugs, see whether they're wet or carboned up, clean and dry them, give it a good crank with no plugs, then reinstall plugs and see if she'll go.
