Sport steering wheel problem

I installed my accessories today. The problem am having the parts I bought my plunger don't contact to the horn contact that makes the horn work, so I can't tighten the three screws. I had an extra plunger that's a little shorter so I used it instead. It tighten with no problem. Now the problem am having is the horn won't work when pressing the center cap. If I remove the center cap and press on either side with my fingers the horn works. How long are the plungers suppose to be. Thanks..

Gotta love repro parts. I had the same problem and wound up running a short wire from the center nut to one of the 3 screws. Now it works. I played with the contact button and I had the same issue.

Also, if I turn my center button to line up the Olds emblem, the button pops off. So my center cap is always a little off center.
