Those two items you mentioned are way up there on the list of things I like about my '46. I see more and more photos of nice shiny big fender cars each day and keep thinking how nice the '46 would look with a straight body and shiny paint. That tan one is very nice.

'49 76 (flathead six) with an 88 badge (from a '50) on the trunk.

'49 88 had the same 2 eights (without the rocket) on each rear fender, about where the dent is.

Mug, do you mean with a single pane of glass, minus the trim in the middle? I don't much care for that method. To me, split windows are kind of unique and I like that about them. That truck is pretty nice looking though, I like the front wheel treatment better than the rear wheel treatment. Wonder which way he plans to go with?

Nice car. I'd like to have a fair weather driver like that someday.

I like the split window in its stock form as well. I was going to go with the single window in my 48 (there are kits being sold the fit the OLDs, Pontic, Buick of my year) But decided the stock look is better

I meant that a people are taking single pane windshields and going back to the stock set-up ...

Or like '63 'vettes that had the split rear window replaced with a single pane, Quite the rage in 64-65, that are also going back to the stock set up ...

I like how if you have a split windshield and you drive off a cliff it looks like you are flying an airplane ...
