SPECS Booklet Funnies

I was scanning the 1972 SPECS booklet tonight to find an answer to someone's question, and I just noticed something I hadn't seen before. Note the exclusion wording on the W25 entry. The first page is from the Sept 1971 edition. The second is from the Jan 1972 edition. Hint: "Cruiser" is the Cutlass Cruiser flattop wagon.

Discuss among yourselves.

All I could find was a vista, not a flat top. I am sure Hurst could have whatever they wanted, though, and not need to amend the SPECS to do it, so I dunno, Joe.

Yeah, I know about the hand-built track cars. The SPECS booklet has a separate page for the Vista, with no reference to W25 in either edition. I wonder if this was like the 1970 JL7 listing for disc brake delete on the W-cars - a listing just to clear the parts for NHRA use.
