We took the kids out shopping for some summer clothes this afternoon. Stopped by the local ShopKo, and while my wife and daughter were checking out the girls clothes, the boys and I were checking out the toys aisle. Saw these newest Hot Wheels additions...the first one almost made me throw up in my mouth a little (click to enlarge the first three):

Wow that is sad.. the VC one isn't half bad but how dare they ruin the 442 W-30 like that...

 

Well, since it said "desert" something, maybe they were thinking about the James Gardner baja 442?? Maybe?? Hopefully??

I got that 4x4 one but i cant bring myself to buy a matchbox car.

 

I've had the "Monster wheels" 442 pic on my phone for 2 days now...was going to post it but didn't get around to it yet. Saw it at Walmart, as well as the wagon (seen the wagon for several months). Yea, the 442 toy is just a stupid joke of a car, but that's today's market.

The Vista looks cool - I have a couple little Vistas but not that color.
I wish I had a real one....

 

I collect Olds Hot Wheels, but I refuse to buy the 4 x 4 one. At least this year they have released several new 442's including Trea$ure Hunt$, a light blue version and the red version. SWEET

 

I have the VC one. I bought that set of cars for my son for Christmas and took that one out and put it in my pocket

It has bumper stickers on the back that say I (heart) camping and 2 dogs sticking their heads out of the back window. It also says "Vista Cruiser" with the Olds rocket before it and in the middle of the tailgate it has the new Olds Rocket on it, like on my Alero

 

a little off topic but did you hear what Hot Wheels is planing at the Indy 500 this year.
