I wonder what the production #'s were on that model.
I don't remember seeing to many on the road when they were new.

I just love the lines and that big sloping boot. Are they hard to come by? Might have to be my next project. Colour combo is the bomb.

All you gotta do is ask. Production of 1961 Super 88 2-door hardtops (Holiday Coupe) was 7,009. That number puts that body style in 4th place for that model that year.

There were 23,272 Super 88 Holiday Sedans (4-door hardtop) made, 15,328 Celebrity Sedans (4-door post), and 7,600 Starfire convertibles, which were apparently part of the Super 88 line that year. The Starfire became its own model in 1962.

Base price of the '61 Super 88 Holiday Coupe was $3,325.

The car is class. The lines are fantastic.....my 64 88 had lost all those great lines. I love the color combo. I spend a great deal of time dreaming of color combos to give my 64 a little zing. Great car...thanks for the pics.

I fell into the Cutlass /442 cars but have always had a soft spot for the 61s. Total style and love the bumper flares (rockets!) What a beauty.
