Sin or Desire? 69 cutty conv.
I'm taking my car to bare metal, ordering all necessary parts from Fusick.Car is complete ,only cosmetic parts are comming from Fusick.Repainting to original color.Engine is origina (350) I was told that it was an automatic, it now has a Saganaw 4 speed w/ a 12 bolt rear. (no complaints)
My delima is : I'm putting in a 455(Keeping the 350) and it has the double bump hood which I would like to stripe.Am I sining or should I have what I want!

DON'T DO IT, just kidding, like others have said its your car - you are already changing the motor, the hood and paint can be put back too - but when its done the way you like it you enjoy it more.

Unless you are tired of working the clutch, may I suggest that you stay with the manual, the fun factor is amplified with a stick. A lot of folks work very hard to configure their auto cars this way, and a whole lot more just wish that their cars were equipped as a manual. Of course if you are tired of working it, or have medical/physical reasons for making the auto switch, then I totally understand. As for the big cube engine.....it is your car, bought and paid for. Enjoy it the way you want to and let the next custodian return it to original if they choose to. That said, if possible it's always wise to keep the original engine provided that you have the space. Have fun!!
