Side mirrors

I would like lt and rt side mirrors on my Starfire, but I only see a left mirror listed in the parts book. Has anyone put both side mirrors on their Starfire and where did you locate the right mirror.

You don't say what year but if it's the car you are working on in your profile then I would presume it's a 1962. I have a 1961.

Fusick has it and I was told by them it's only for the driver's side. I bought it and it works fine for the passenger side. I told them it fit but it looks like they haven't changed it on their listing.

Added outside passenger mirror.

I kind of matched it's position to where it was on the driver's side and had someone hold it in position while I viewed it while I sat in the driver's seat. Just make sure the vent window operates.

I wonder if Fusick said it was for the drivers side only because the passenger side mirror should be convex?

No. He said it was because of the angle, whatever that meant. It works fine the way it is. Maybe he didn't realize it can swivel in the other direction?

The convex mirrors weren't introduced until mid to late '70's.

On my 55 I also used the left-hand mirror on the right but mounted it where I could see out of it. I've never had anyone, judge or admirer, every say a word about it. I thought it was better to see behind me than be absolutely correct. Convertibles are full of blind spots anyway with the top-up....Tedd

Non convex RH mirrors are better than nothing, but just slightly. The RH sport mirror on my H/O is not very helpful.

Thanks everyone, I think that I'll mount it where it will be useful and match the left mirror to the right
