Seventies W-30 Fuel Pumps

Can anyone verify this information for me?

The '71 engine assembly manual shows this:
Screenshot1.png

It says the W-30 takes a large surge dome fuel pump with no by pass.

These are pics of a restored '72 W-30 engine from Inlinetube's web site:

Is the fuel pump in the pictures also correct for a '71 W-30?

Thank you

.

Correct in that there is no bypass. The 71-72 W-30 cars used an external metal canister fuel filter that has the bypass port in it.

Thank you Joe.

I bought one of those years ago at a swap meet. The guy said it was for a Corvette. I just went down to have a look at it and it is identical to yours.

SU is selling them as reproductions.

I am really looking to find out if the large surge dome pump in the pictures is correct for a '71 W-30.

The large dome 71 w 30 pump has an in and an output
Line only. as the surge line is on the inline metal fuel filter.

I am also looking for the correct large dome pump
For my 71 w 30 also ...

ONLY the 71 cars used the external canister fuel filter.
The 72 cars did not use this filter.
