Its both.. the ad is fishing, or trolling game from ROP, and the reply is clearly a scammer because the item isn't even legit.
Odd that he would block out two of the Ebay user names on the screen but not the third..

Sorry, I should have clarified.
It's an email that I got, from a REALLY GOOD html coder scammer I guess. The girdle ad is "legit" as a Rocket Science joke and warning about the Chinese POS "CAT" brand "pare".
It looks a lot like a legit ebay inquiry but for a few clues.
1- poor English - "payed" and "hidding"
2- vague references to "the item"
3- asking dolt questions like how much is it and how can I pay...
4- just use this handy button I provided for you
5- hovering over what appears be be links shows no link url
6- hovering over what appears to be ebay links shows url "waranes..." with a zillion characters
Attempting to reply to the email in order to send acct deletion request to user's IP only gets a return address "use the yellow button at e-bay.com" <== Note the incorrect "ebay" with a dash.
I went ahead and smudged out MY email refs and such, and marked up the funny/BS parts.

They are able to create "real" ebay messages, whatever you do, DO NOT REPLY. When you hit reply, yes it will take you to an "ebay" page, but I think...think it's fake and it is a way for them to get your password and then personal information. Check your ebay messages when you log into the real Ebay URL and see if this one from this buyer pops up.
