Screen at top rear of engine on 55 olds

My 55 Olds has a screen on the top rear. I am preparing to pressure wash the engine bay and I don't know if this screen should be covered or not. Any thoughts?

Think he's probably talking about the fresh air inlet screen on top of the cowl, under the windshield. It should have drain tubes for the water, but they're probably gone by now. Holes might also be plugged with trash.

It is there to allow air to cool the fluid coupling. Would cover when washing.

Stolen pic, but you get the idea where the screen is on the back of the early blocks

As stated above, they are for cooling. While water entering would drain out the bottom, it's still best not to put anything in there except air. I'd cover them.
