Hey, that's first class all the way! There's a happy guy washing his brand new 4-4-2 - it doesn't get any better than that!

Mmph. Nut-hugger shorts and leg-warmer socks. Mikey, you are truly a child of the 80s!

Forgot Olds even made a 442 model in 86'. My brother had an 83' Hurst Olds with a similar paint scheme. Was only a 307 engine, but didn't run to bad. He bought it used, for a pretty good deal, and drove it for a few years. Guy in the market parking lot, offered him more than he payed, so sold it. How often does that sort of thing happen.

Ouch..I thought my german-irish wife was the palest human being on earth, but seems I was wrong. If not for the stripes I wouldn't know you are wearing white socks !

I'm 100% Irish and pretty white but that photo is more a result of a cheap camera and even cheaper film.

Heck of a nice looking engine compartment in the title pic Mike. Assuming, that's your 71', and gotta be proud of that one. Curious, if the GM blue engine is stock for that year, as thought that came later. Couple buddies of mine are 100% Irish, and have a cottage there. Hear it's a pretty area. Looks like you're living well, as my brother's also in Raleigh, NC, and nice area. Work buddy of mine's son has a Jet's pizza there, and quite popular. Must be doing something right, as just got a new Cadillac CTS-V. Mark

Thanks for the compliments Mark. That IS the engine in my '71. All the '70 and up 455s were that 'Aqua-Blue' which is actually a different shade than the 'GM Blue' and Pontiac 'Silver-Blue'. Also, I should correct myself and say I'm 100% American but have 100% Irish heritage as my Grandparents were Irish Immigrants. I was born and raised in the Boston area which is just about 50% Irish. I, too, have relatives that live in Ireland.

Guess I just learned something new today, as wasn't aware of this. My 77' originally had a 403 SB, and now has a custom built 455 BB. Actually like the original GM blue, so painted the 455, that color too.
