Very cool piece. I have never seen one before. Apparently the carbs are off of a 409.

Talk about great fuel mileage with those. Looks wild. That 409 done up?I heard one time, all you had to do to that engine was put on a 4bbl and HP was 409. True?

Those carbs look like they are capable of mixing lots and lots of fuel and air.
If I remember correctly, with about 11.5:1 compression and dual Carter carbs, from the factory HP was rated at about 430.

The O65 is the only dual plane/dual quad intake for the BBO. Very nice street manifold. Long out of production. I ran one years ago on a 1971 Cutlass with a pair of 500 CFM Carter AFBs. With progressive linkage the car got 14-15 MPG. Ironically, when I bought my intake at Pomona (this was in about 1981) it ALSO had a pair of 409 carbs on it. I sold those carbs and bought the Carters. I've been looking for another O65 for years now that wasn't priced like it was solid gold.

So, after reading Joe's post what was the price? I see the calculator and card reader ready to go beside the intake

LOL...no no. He's putting those on his 455. That was at his shop and he took that set up down from its perch to show it to me.

Randy,
Is that setup for "Big EDS" '65 442. I think his place is in Los Gatos. It has been awhile since i traded some "C" head for him.

Wow, what a small world. I just E-mailed him about an hour ago about the "C" heads and when he wanted me to do the port work for him.

You're not all that far from me then. I'm still learning the area as I moved here in 2008.
