same engine, same year, different codes

same engine, same year, different codes

why are my 2 76 455s different engine codes? Toro and Custom Cruiser, both 76, both 455, one is S, the other is T

Because they have different specs. The S-code motor is rated at 215 HP net. The T code motor at 190 HP net.
