Anyone headed to Daytona for the races this week? I'll be there for the Michelin Pilot Challenge qualifier on Thursday and race on Friday; grandson driving a GT4 car this year in the challenge.

That would be cool Peter. I think the 4 hour challenge race Friday will be available on YouTube. Grandson, Danny, and co-driver will pilot Porsche car #7.

 

We used to go to the 24, back when you could camp in the infield, before it became 80% pavement. I guess it was the early 2000s.

 

I’ve been down here since the 12th, I work for VP Racing Fuels and we supply the fuel for the series, it is an awesome race to be around.

 

I made the trip to Daytona for the grandson's race on Friday. Their first ever endurance race in a new to them series netted a 7th out of 35 finish. I was surprised to see 5.0 Mustangs racing the same class, GT4! Couple pics attached.
