Unhappy Rocketracing

Does anybody know if Rocketracing is still in business? I placed and paid for an order for a pair of performance 2.5" stock looking ceramic coated exhaust manifolds over a 6 weeks ago. At first they needed to do another run of manifolds as they didn't have any left so they said 1 - 2 weeks then they needed to be ceramic coated before being shipped. Well that's fair enough! But for the last couple of weeks there has been no communication at all. I send them an email and only receive an automated reply. I tried to ring and no one answers. There is only a message saying that they are renewing their store front and to leave a message. I'm a little worried that they might have closed down????????? and I'm $550 out of pocket.

That sucks for him. I do feel sorry for him. BUT if only he would communicated a little better and tell me this, i would understand. I'm just frustrated with the lack of communication.

It seems to be an ongoing "problem" with them....nice work but fairly lacking in the communications "department". Have a customer that experienced the same thing with them and he spent plenty of $ there. I don't think this occurred during the actual build process but he mentioned the inability to get in touch with anyone there afterwards when he had some followup requests.

My bet is they run a fairly tight ship....one or two people and as is the case many times, not enough hours in the day. Still, there always seem to be threads popping up along the lines of "how do I get in touch with them, emails, etc"

Hey Patton! I just sent my dad back home to pull the engine on the '72 Convertible...give him a buzz some time and motivate him to get it done I've got a buyer for the 350 that's coming out...

Also, next time I'm up there I'll pick up his plates...even if we can't put them on a car they'll still look good on the wall.

Update. Rocket emailed this morning and apologized for not getting back to me. Seems they are having problems with the supplier and it’s taking longer than anticipated. So I'm happy now as I know what the problem is. A little better communication would be good but it’s all sorted. Also they are going to throw a couple of T shirts inn.
