Rocker arm ?

I'm collecting parts for a 350 rebuild and I have read that the 1980 and newer rocker arm assemblies that use the metal bridge are better than the older units that used and aluminum bridge. Any truth to this?? I will be using these on a pair of 69 #5 heads if that matters.

I use them. I think they were Crane, not sure they still make them. I like them.
