To find clearance items for other cars go to rockauto, click year, model, engine, then click the save (disk) icon to the right. You'll get a pop-up, mouse over it and get the number following carcode=. Now copy the link above and replace the car code number with the one for your car. You'll get a listing of clearance items for your car.

I agree! You definitely have to do a little comparison shopping. I've had good luck getting Summit to match the Rock Auto prices and if you buy more than $100 worth of parts their shipping is free. I just bought some Vette rotors for my project from Summit; they beat Rock Auto's price buy $1 and with the free shipping I saved $27 and Summit's customer service is much better too!

Sure I'd love to put performance bits under my old tub, but that's nearly half what I spent on ALL of my parts. It was one of a few parts they lacked, and typically speaking Rock Auto doesn't stock their parts so they aren't really in control of the shipping. I don't care about the CHEAPEST possible, I'm just not paying local prices. Rock auto has saved me hundreds over the years, and Summit has saved me a bit as well. But they are quite different shops indeed. If I need non OEM parts, carbs, intakes, ect, I go to Summit, if I need OEM stuff, I go to Rock Auto, that's just the simplest way for me.

Crap. I ordered a bunch of stuff from Rock yesterday and I didn't even think about a discount code.
Even with the ridiculous shipping from 3 different locations, the total price was still $60 cheaper than NAPA or my local auto supply where I have an account. And that was a $60 savings on a $195 order.
I don't really like dealing with RockAuto. I'd prefer to buy locally, but spending $135 instead of $195 is enough to get me to order online.

The price of the item is a little higher sometimes but with my prime membership it beats paying the shipping sometimes from rock auto and I'll have it in two days or sooner.

OPGIs shipping is absolutely ridiculous compared to RockAuto. I believe I wanted to order a small part, like a power steering pump, and they wanted to charge me damn near $40 for shipping in the same state of California.

if you use rockauto somewhat regularly, and log in when you do if you goto my account you will see the discount code posted there and you can click it to get the discount to your current order.
this can save you from running around looking for a code....course iwould guess if you havent ordered in a couple months you need to come to this thread and get your code.
