Apparently they feel a cross referenced part number of a different manufacturer is the same part. I ran into that when purchasing new front wheel hub bearings assemblies for the wife's car from Rock Auto back in 2013. I ordered 2 Timken hubs and this is what I received. Kinda tweaked me but I was in a bind so I installed them and both have worked fine for the last 7 years.
But yeah, it ain't right that you don't get exactly what you order. This is why I try to buy parts from the local store so I don't get the switcheroo like this.
Joe is correct about the CARQUEST being rebranded Gates belts. I just bought belts from Rockauto and received the same deal. In Rockauto's defense when you go to pick out the belts from their site they Say Gates Wholesaler Closeout-Private Label PKG.

It is made by Gates. There's a reason why those "closeout" parts on RA are so much less than the price of the regular ones. That alone should tell you something.
I just blew up A/C belt. It was Napa premium/Gates. IIRC it's about 17 years old and of course it got the hood insulation, still in tact but has a gouge in it.. I just replaced them all with same Napa belts. Nice to see made in USA. The mexico made ones are 1/4 of the price of the USA made belts.
