Hi all,
Hoping someone can assist me. I am having a Rochester Quadrojet rebuilt for me for my 1972 Cutlass Supreme w/ 350 V8 numbers matching engine. I have a Edelbrok #806 4 BBL on it presently.The problem I have is I need to supply a core in trade of a similer date. I recieved a core from a friend but not having one on the car for so many years, I'm having trouble locating the part number to reference the date. I located a number on the top of the carb on the secondary port flapper. #30747. But this does not correspond with production numbers all starting as #70.....
Can anyone assist me in locating the number. The carb was in a GM Revcon that has been sitting behind a warehoue for over 20 years so the carb is rusted,dirty and not easy to read.

Dane, thanks for the number which corresponds to the carb I'm getting so good to know I got the correct one. What I"m trying to do is locate the number on the carb we got from the Revcon. Trying to locate the number on that one.

 

Ok all is good! Found the number on the core from ( 78 GM Revcon ) and spoke to the company that is rebuiding the new one for me. Can't wait to get it. If all works out and work reflects the price I will post companies name and contact info.
