Its true I look at what j leno did to his toronado, but that cost big bucks, you can find turbos and super chargers etc in the junk yard for the imports can be done much cheaper, but it is a choice . I dont think the cars were better they were different, and I dont think anyone who has to commute day in and day out would give up their new high tech cars...I wont say import because. Even our american cars are not pure american and our imports are not pure foreign made

But again its a choice. There is a lot of satisfaction taking something outdated and making it perform well, but there is also room to appreciate the effort someone else put on their wheels, it might mean just as much to them if it happens to be a ricer or a tuner well its a choice.

I will say you wont find as much personality with imports or new cars, no stainless, no chrome, and unless your tech savy with a computer not easily worked on,

A way to explain it its like in this modern day era of smart bombs, drones, guns that shoot around corners extreme efficiency, accuracy and lethality , there is just something satisfying about smashing your foe with a big ol rock
