I think that is your only opptions sometimes. Hard to find GM new ones, and if you do,it will cost big bucks. My son replaced all the sheet metal, on his Chevelle, aftermarket. We did some, and had a experienced body man do the quarters, and roof. There were problems, he says that is the way it goes with aftermarket parts. Have to make them fit.

I had to replace the driver side quarter on my '68 convertible as it was just too messed up to make right again. My good fortune lead me to a body and paint shop that did an outstanding job mating a coupe quarter to a convertible.

I think it all depends on the year and who made them (many times it is just one company making them for certain cars and all catalogs sell the same, but sometimes there are a couple suppliers of some components). My 70 Cutlass full quarters made by Goodmark fit surprisingly well - just normal minor tweaking.
