Repairing tail lights, any advice?

Several years ago I purchased the internal parts for them at a NAPA auto parts store. What it was is two wires with the pins on them and a fiber ring with a spring under it. I had to re-used the brass sockets so if they're corroded or damaged on yours this may not work. John

Recently purchased them at Carquest. They were easy to install and work just fine. My brass was kind of grungy and I had to clean it up. That took a little time. Better to have it right than right now.

Most parts stores carry them in their help section. Cut one off and take it with you.
GM used the same sockets in almost all their 70's vehicles.
They're ~$5-$7 each IIRC. I'd replace every single one of them for the best result.
They look like crap after a few decades of crud buildup inside.
I tried RockAuto a few times , but they failed both times and sent me the wrong ones.
This is one of those things you need to get in person.
