Removing radiator saddles from core support?

Removing radiator saddles from core support?new saddle orientation?

Any tips or tricks to removing the lower radiator saddles from the core support?

Drill out the spot welds. IIrc, there are 2 or maybe 3 per saddle. If you have a harbor freight nearby, you can buy a spot weld drill bit kit cheap that works pretty well. Otherwise use a center punch right in the middle of the weld & drill there.

I wedged a fat screwdriver underneath and gave a couple shots with a hammer, popped right off.

Thanks for the info guys.

I was able to borrow a spot weld drill bit yesterday after reading this. Have the 3 row saddles removed and have the new 4 row radiator in place for a test fit.
