rear frame braces

I found out about these and have some on order. What I need to know is where do thy mount for sure. One person told me they probably replace the top control arms. Don't think so. Picture would be nice or site I can go to. I have been looking but cannot find to much info.

You need to get yourself a factory Product Information Manual, aka Assembly Manual. It's full of line drawings showing exactly how everything on the car is bolted together.

The answer is that the braces attach to the forward mounting points of both the upper and lower control arms, triangulating between them.

Sometimes it's just easier to show than tell. Here you go. It doesn't require body off BTW.

Allan R nice job! As a point of observation I would get Eastwoods "cast iron gray" and repaint the rear center section and also the springs. Just my 2 cents...........The frame looks spot on as far as sheen too!

jwr7042: You will need the proper length bolts when installing the braces. They are 1/4" longer than cars that did not come with those braces.
