I was thinking of add one to my engine. The header pipe is so close now to the oil filter. An aftermarket one will not fit. Or add remote oil filters, but that creates it own problems. Both are RWD filter adapter .
Thank god I was swimming around in the pool of Oldsmobile knowledge I bout the last piece of the puzzle to California Smog parts needed. The had two parts ho else bout the rubber tee ?
I know i seen somewhere here or one of the Olds Facbook groups. Someone looking for one for a correct restoration.
When it popped up in my ebay feed.
So I posted here.
Did you get it?
Cause like like it's been sold.
Like to hear about your car! Let's see a few pictures!
Here's another very hard to find especially without broken tabs. Maybe not the rarest but pretty darrn close since it was a 1 year only.
The 1970 trunk switch.
How about Flo-Thru Ventilation or Forced Air Ventilation for 1969 A-Body Sports Coupes? Gotta be pretty high on the list, huh? Option code C56, C57. Almost positive '69 only. Look for two studs/nuts protruding from firewall that you're guessing are aftermarket.....if you've ever seen 'em.

Many foreign cars had forced air ventilation as a standard feature. Pontiac and Buick kept the forced air ventilation option available for the 1970-1972 model years on their A-bodies.
Guess Oldsmobile dropped the not well publicized forced air ventilation option to get customers to order the costly air conditioning.
How many times on a hot day while stopped at a red light or stuck in traffic in a non-A/C car did occupants wish for air movement, even if warm forced ventilation air.
Good question, but I've owned one of each (and sold them both at the G'burg OCA Nationals). The tailgate came factory on the 84 CC that I had. The hood I bought from C-List. Usage was random.
Local ad. I don’t know how many years apply. Includes light tension springs.
One-off parts from showcars are rare by definition. They are also hand-made and not in the same league as production parts that could be purchased by normal mortals.
I know this is mostly A and B bodies stuff but on a 55 super 88 rocker moldings are as rare as hens teeth and so are hood lip moldings that aren't rusted out even used....Tedd

Any 65 year old parts are hard to find today, but Olds made over 200,000 Super 88s in 1955. Production rarity isn't the same as surviving quantities. Heck, try to find parts for a 1980s Custom Cruiser, like the unique front fenders. Olds made about 200,000 of those between 1980 and 1990, but those are probably harder to find today than parts for a 55.
My personal challenges are diecast trim from ‘66 98 convertibles and ‘66 Starfire.
They made about 4500 of the ‘66 98 convertible and I’ve never found extra stainless for the convertible quarter windows - 1 year / 1 model only.
They made 13,000 or so Starfire coupes, the diecast trim along the sides and rear, if used, are almost always pitted, even if they’re straight. Just this year I finally found an NOS rear eggcrate piece after looking fo 20+ years.
On the trim side, the stainless steel reveal moldings are common to the ‘66 big cars and can be restored with enough hours on the buffer, but the chrome is hard to find. But 2 door 98 stainless? Yeah, hard to find. And so many parts just not restorable.
Options too - vacuum trunk releases are out there, but vacuum door locks not so much. Comfortron, Autronic Eye headlight dimmer, Cruise control, AM/FM radios (pricey at the time), Reverb units. Lots of people sensibly skipped these when the cars were new, so not many were out there and fewer survived. Fewer yet in working condition.
The sunny side to the options is GM sourced many from the same suppliers, so if you dig around under Pontiac,Cadillac or Buick you can find the parts that will work in the Olds. Sometimes even the visible trim parts were reused across the divisions. Sometimes this works better than Old-unique chassis and engine parts.
I know it isn’t Olds, but GM made 6 of these, GM Brass walked through the Auto show, the car had the caps with Red Arrows on, they asked why there was no gold one on the car, they don’t make them in gold, let’s get them made. I bought 4 for my Gold Rally’s.
Here's one courtesy of our own John Herald. The oil filter adapter from a FWD Olds diesel. I've seen the RWD versions (and have one) but the FWD versions are pretty rare. Yeah, those are oil cooler fittings.
They used two different oil cooler adaptors on the FWD C and H body cars. One of these is from a '90 Bonneville SSE (ya, not an Olds, and they did not use them on non diesel '85-'90 cars) and the other is from a '92 "98". Like Joe says it was a liquid to liquid cooler in the radiator so obviously they had different radiators. I looked over the parts ID tag in the trunk and it made no mention of it. I have only seen a couple of the Olds parts but they came on all the SSEs.
I managed to find and NOS set of cooler lines for mine:
Ok, here's another one...back in the early 2000s, I bought a real nice 1990 Olds 88 Royale FE3 coupe as a daily driver / beater car. Some idiot in a BMW 5 series rear ended me about a year or so later. Part of the lower bumper that joins the upper rear quarter was apparently unique to coupes, and being a 1990 model, it was specific to that year and 1991 only. Was not easy to find. I believe they made just over a hundred Royale coupes in 1991 for example (the last year for 88 coupes).
On the subject of 88 Royales, circa 1987 you could order a front fascia / spoiler and rear side window louvers as used on the NASCAR versions of those cars being raced at the time. It was called the W88 package. The front end wouldn't have been compatible with my '90, but I did try without luck to find a set of the louvers before finally selling that car. Someone responded to an ancient post of mine on the AACA forum a couple years back who found and installed an NOS W88 front spolier on his car (pic appended below). Apparently he bought it on Ebay for $80. Obviously, rarity does not always translate into value.
The coupes sold well till the new GM10 Cutlass Supreme came out in '88; after that the numbers fell like a stone. There were 458 '91 Royale Brougham coupes in '91, partially due to production ending with the calendar year. There were 1585 RB coupes built in '90.
I saw the W88 car too. I looked a long time for one of those kits and they are not out there. I found this press kit at a swap meet years ago:
I think the blackout on this car ruined it:
