Rare Decal?

I wonder if these are reproed. I have never seen one before, but I found details about it in "Setting the Pace" on pgs 368 and 369. Olds was really trying to build a better quality product it seems.

Brian, that's the first time I've ever seen a decal like that. I have the original dealer release kit for the sentinel program but it doesn't mention anything like that. You're right, this was the first attempt at quality control from the Olds division. Thanks for posting that, I'm gonna snag a copy of it for my files.

Your welcome Allan. It would seem logical it was put on the cars that were specifically pulled from final production for the inspection program, however I have never seen a decal like that one in all the years I have been an Olds watcher. It's good new things can still pop up now and again.

Don - can you post what it looks like, and is it a sticker that was issued by Olds?

Dr. Decal is one place you could look. The website has lots of pictures from what I remember when I was looking for an olds decal.

Gary, Marc Cornea doesn't have them. I checked his website. He does sell a lot of good quality stuff, but this decal is relatively unique. Anyway, I couldn't find it on his site - if you do see it please let us know.

Here you go Allan, left side of bumper. I used to have a close up pic. on SD card but I think my wife deleted it!

Seems like I have seen them in the lower corner of the windshield on the passenger side.
