Thornton is the ONLY repro with a steel frame. Cuttently sell for $4k shipped. Ive seen factory hoods listed starting at $1500(need major work) to $5k in excellent to new condition
If youre willing to use an ajj fiberglass hood, than Gjasstech seems to be the good chioice. Their are several other cheaper version, but all require hours of rework for proper fit and finish

I’m trying to build a keeper I should’ve kept the gold car last year. Here we go again I always love the RamAir hood just doesn’t seem the same without it.

I had an original OAI hood reworked by a Corvette specialist to fix cracks and bond the steel to the top where it was separated.
My painter said it would take him about 60 hours to make the hood line up with the fenders.
At that point, I sent him a Thornton. He said it took no fitting work and only light sanding to look perfect.
I sold the original for $1600 to recoup some of the Thornton cost.
I'm very pleased with how it came out. The only downside is that you can tell it's not original because it fits so well.
