Rally gauge lens replacement - advice please

I’ve got a rally pack gauge out of the car because I didn’t like some residue on the lens (upper right between fuel and oil) and thought I would clean it. I also have a replacement lens but don’t know if it’s worth trying to pry the old one out - anyone tried this before or have any advice. As always thanks for the collective knowledge of this fantastic community, and happy new year to all.

Super easy to place a flat blade screwdriver there on the pushed in metal surround that holds the lens trim ring in place. Just be gentle and you will loosen it enough that the ring and lens will fall out. Replace the lens and then gently bend/press the metal back into it's original position when you're done!

not hard at all. You may want to clean the rust off the trim ring and coat with rust barrier before re-installing, too.

Thanks guys. I had already buttoned things up for today because tomorrow is going to be sunny and beautiful and I’m going to drop the top and play some tennis for the final day of 2019. But now I am convinced that I’m capable of doing it as long as I take it slow, thanks again and happy new year!

I got mine on eBay from Inline Tube/ motor city supercars. $7 for one or 22 for a three pack, can’t speak to the quality or fitment since I haven’t utilized it yet - but for seven bucks I figured what the heck.

Yep, a VERY noticeable improvement! I replaced all three of my gauge lens and am so happy! You don't notice how bad the old ones are until you replace them. I replaced the 3 pod bezel and wood grain at the same time.
Makes car look like a new one from drivers view.

That turned out nice. Got a link for the LED’s you used. I’m getting ready to swap out my light bulbs soon.

Thank you, and thanks again to this fine community. I had read about them in another thread on CO, ridiculously inexpensive on Amazon. Of course, as Joe P says - more Chinesium.

Wow that is cheap! Just bought 20 bulbs for $15 shipped, and they will be here tomorrow. Should be enough to do all the bulbs in the gauge clusters as well as the side markers and courtesy light package.
