Quoting a sentence in a post.

I looked around but didn't see how to quote just one line in someones post. Tried to hit the " but it only goes orange and no matter what action I take after that it doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure if it will work with a Mac. Anyone know.

Click the Quote button for the message.

Delete the text you don't want to show.

Don't alter or delete the starting and ending quote brackets.

Simply highlight the part of the post you don't want to use, and then hit cut or delete... You can also highlight any part of another post and cut and paste then add quotations... For example: "I looked around but didn't see how to quote just one line in someones post."

Remember not to delete any of the numbers on the left side of the ] or the
Deleting any other info not in the original paragraph is easy with MAc or Windows applications. Either highlight and delete, or position cursor and back delete as needed. You can also highlight what you want to discuss about the OPs post by highlighting, underlining or italicizing within their quoted text.

Anything in between the quote brackets can be deleted... If you inadvertently delete any of the bracket information ( whether it's the first set of brackets or the last set) it will not work properly...
