Quick ? about work supplied trucks

So im an "owner" hold all lic. for operation, 2 "higher ups"

I didnt care in the past about driving an older truck.
My truck i have has major electrical issues, its past its time.
Everyone/ crews in the company has newer trucks, within 10yld.

So my truck broke down 3x today, i ask if i can buy a new one. I get a "oh, ill get a new one, you can have mine" from the 51%owner....

Am i out of line wanting a new truck?
If i quit there all fucked, without my lic's
My div. profits are higher than the other 2- owners, so WTH
Lack of appreciation i just want nothing to do with the company.... Thoughts?

These are bargaining chips.

Make plans to leave, and see how fast they make you want to stay.

Coincidental topic. I am currently siting at home ,looking for a job due to a POS of a work truck. The truck was so bad the suspension was completely gone, every bump was a jolt to my back. ended up at the chiropractor. I service commercial A/C equipment and the A/C in the truck didn't work. Up on a roof in the 100 *F heat all day jump in the truck for home and it 110*F in traffic, I actually had dizzy spells, doctor said heat stroke. I refused to drive it anymore and I got fired. The bosses back is fine and he sits in a nice Air conditioned office , so what's the problem? I told him I am too old to be putting up with this BS.

My only suggestion is to never give notice without having something else lined up. Also the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. My final thought is remember, "the *** you kick today, may be the one you have to kiss tomorrow".

I know,
Im an owner also, hold the licences, so if i quit im fine. There not. I just dont like dealing with the $ sort of side, which i used to do.
Im in a tough situation, ill see were it goes. I made the post just to vent alittle.
Ive made 160k profit for the company after all expenses this year, for the company. I get nothing for appreciation,

I've heard it said that you can't be used without your permission. If you've made that kind of $ for the company, they could pony up with a newer truck. My $.02.

Pick your battles. Is a new truck vs. a hand-me-down really the issue you want to leave over?

But definitely make sure they know how you feel about the truck and about your contributions to the company. It's easy for them to assume you're happy unless you tell them otherwise. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

These days, squeaky wheel gets told he's "not a team player" and "doesn't express the values of the brand," and gets the boot.

Look for another job, find another job, then one day walk, with no warning, taking your licenses with you, and have your attorney serve them with papers at the same time, stating that they have no authority to work under your licenses from that minute forward.

We have a saying in NY: "F&#k me? F&#k you."
