Question regarding Intake manifold

So it appears as though i will be rebuilding the 3.8L v6 on my 85 cutlass. I was looking for intake manifolds but i only found a couple (one of them being an intake manifold for the buick v6), is that one compatible with my engine? Are the buick/olds engines the same? Thanks in advance for your help!

It's a corporate GM engine that went into all of the g-bodies through the eighties, identical to the Buick application.

The 3.8 V6 is a Buick engine made for all GM divisions, so you're rolling in a true Oldsmobuick.

Any olds v8. If you don't want to spend much I sure someone has a 307 that they would let go cheap.

i have been thinking of doing a engine swap down the line in my Cutlass Sedan... i was thinking big block or large small block... i think i will clean up the 3.8L in mine for time being and fix its leaks till i get around to finding an engine to replace what it has... have you thought about getting heads redone, along with them ported along with the intake?

Im also thinking about that as well...around how much do you think that will cost me? My budget is $1,200. Im also looking to do upgrades to the transmission. Any suggestions?

If I remember correctly, the front cover on those 3.8 are part of the oil pump.
So make sure you inspect that area for wear. And
there is/was a good v6 book out there for sale by S.A. Design that covered v6.
